Highly stable anhydrous solution of 1% pure retinol

The Ordinary 1% Retinol in Squalane 30ml is a highly concentrated anhydrous solution with 1% pure retinol. Reduces the appearance of fine lines, skin damage caused by UV rays, and general skin aging. Squalane has a moisturizing and soothing effect on the skin.

Important to know:

Retinol can cause significant irritation, redness, and peeling, especially around the eyes and mouth, in the early stages of treatment as the skin develops tolerance. If you have not used high-strength retinol formulas in the past, we strongly recommend that you start your retinol treatment with our retinol 0.2% in squalane and rely on higher dosages of retinol 0.5% in squalane and retinol 1% in squalane as your skin builds up a tolerance.  So You’ll get the same end results without the annoying redness and flaking along the way.

Water can affect the stability of retinol. Additionally, the vegetable oils in retinol formulations can trigger lipid peroxidation and affect the integrity of the retinol. This formula does not contain water, silicone, vegetable oils, or alcohol.

Application:

Apply a small amount to the face in the evening. Use after water-based serums. Apply before rich creams or treatments. Do not combine with other retinol products. Keep in the refrigerator after opening.

Ingredients: squalane, caprylic/capric triglyceride, Simmondsia Chinensis (jojoba) seed oil, retinol, Solanum Lycopersicum fruit extract (tomato), Rosmarinus Officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract, hydroxymethoxyphenyl decanone, BHT.

Warning Notices:

Do not use it on sensitive, peeling, or wounded skin. Avoid eye contour and eye contact both during application and when rinsing. If the product gets into the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Not suitable for acne. The product can worsen acne during the first few weeks of use.

During use, the skin can be sensitive to the sun, we recommend wearing suitable sun protection during the day. We also recommend that you run a patch test on the forearm for three days before actually using it. Stop use if skin irritation is severe. Keep out of the reach of children.

The use of retinol for skincare is generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
